Justin’s journey
Since 2022, we have had the privilege of providing care to Justin, who came to us with complex care needs. Justin was bedbound, relying on a tracheostomy for his breathing and being under constant supervision from nurses and doctors in a hospital setting to manage tracheostomy care, supra pubic catheter, PEG feeding management, wound management, complex bowel care and personal care.
NS Disability Care got involved in his care, both in the hospital and during the subsequent transition to a home setting, led by our in-house Nurse Practitioner. With in-house medical and clinical professionals readily available, Justin has always had access to clinical support, ensuring his safety during emergencies and critical moments.
Under our comprehensive care, Justin began to experience gradual improvements in his health. With NS Disability Care’s collaboration with RNS Hospital, and allied health specialists (OT, speech therapists), he steadily progressed to being able to sit upright in a wheelchair and on his bed, a testament to his determination and his unwavering spirit.
